Farid Alfa-Ruprecht joins Hertha BSC on loan from Bayer Leverkusen

Hertha BSC has secured the loan of 20-year-old winger Farid Alfa-Ruprecht from Bayer Leverkusen for one season. The move follows the departure of Marten Winkler to RSC Anderlecht, as the Berlin-based club seeks to bolster its attacking options on the flanks.

Alfa-Ruprecht, who is under contract with Leverkusen until June 2030, brings significant pace to the 2. Bundesliga side. During his previous season with VfL Bochum, he recorded three goals and three assists in 26 appearances and was noted as the fastest professional in the league, reaching a top speed of 36.42 km/h.

Hertha BSC Sport Director Benjamin Weber stated that the player brings “a lot of tempo and dynamism” and is comfortable playing on both wings.
