Faridabad hit-and-run: Family seeks justice after fatal accident

The family of Lakshmi Narayan Jhawar is demanding justice following a fatal hit-and-run incident in Faridabad, Haryana. The victim was walking home from a temple on the night of August 27 when a speeding car struck him and subsequently drove over him before fleeing the scene.

Amit Jhawar, a product manager at Meta and the victim's son, has criticized the local police for their slow response. Despite the family providing CCTV footage that clearly shows the vehicle striking and passing over the victim, authorities have yet to make an arrest. The family has pointed out that Faridabad is equipped with approximately 25,000 smart cameras, yet the perpetrator remains at large.

A First Information Report (FIR) was filed at the Surajkund police station following a complaint by the victim's daughter, Jyoti. The family is calling for a deeper investigation into the vehicle's speed, the sobriety of the driver, and the identity of any other occupants in the car at the time of the accident.
