Faridabad student dies after falling from school building

A Class 11 student, identified as Janvi, died after falling from the third floor of Navodaya Vidya Niketan Senior Secondary School in Faridabad, Haryana. The incident has sparked allegations of severe punishment by school staff.

The student's father, Pramod Kumar, alleged that his daughter was punished for eating biryani at school. He claimed she was made to stand outside in the sun for several hours and spent approximately two hours inside the Vice Principal's office. He noted that while CCTV footage shows her entering and exiting the office, it does not reveal what occurred during her time inside.

The school administration has denied the allegations, stating that no punishment was administered and suggesting the student may have gone to the roof after leaving the classroom to use the restroom. Local police, led by Dabua Station House Officer Sumer Singh, are investigating the circumstances of the fall and the validity of the father's claims.
