Faridabad teacher Sandhya Sharma killed in school stabbing

A 21‑year‑old man identified as Amit, a resident of Kot village, pre‑planned the murder of 28‑year‑old teacher Sandhya Sharma at Saraswati Senior Secondary School in Sikrona, Faridabad. Police say he bought the knife two months before the attack and waited for an opportunity after Sharma rejected his advances and filed a molestation complaint.

On the morning of 3 August 2026, Amit entered the school, called out Sharma by invoking her husband’s name, dragged her from the classroom and stabbed her more than 20 times within about 32 seconds, causing her death on the spot. CCTV footage captured the assault, including an attempt by the principal, Dr. Tejpal Sharma, to intervene, who was also injured. The video went viral on social media.

Police arrested Amit within two hours, seized the weapon and are investigating his motives. Sharma’s husband, Vicky Gurjar, said stricter police action after the earlier complaint might have saved her. The couple had two young children. The case is being processed in the local court.
