Farkas Franciska's admission allegations trigger internal investigation at Hungary's SZFE

Award‑winning actress Farkas Franciska posted a video describing what she said were discriminatory practices during the 2026 admission process for the National Cultures specialization at the Színház‑ és Filmművészeti Egyetem (SZFE). She claimed her age (41) and Roma background were used against her, despite positive assessments of her artistic performance.

In response, SZFE announced an internal investigation, stating that although no formal complaint had been filed, the seriousness of the allegations warranted a review. The university has requested written statements from the teachers named in the video and is collecting relevant documents. It said further actions will be decided after the facts are clarified.
