Farmacia Versari changes management after 68 years in Rimini
The historic Farmacia Versari in Rimini's Borgo San Giuliano district is undergoing a change in management after 68 years of operation by the Versari family. Valentina Corazza, a 29-year-old pharmacist who graduated in 2021, will take over the business.
The pharmacy was originally acquired in 1958 by Lina Versari, who brought expertise in galenic preparations from her time as a director at the Hospital Pharmacy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Since 1986, the business has been managed by Lina's nephew, Roberto Versari, and his wife, Giovanna Lelli.
Rather than selling to a large chain or corporate group, the Versari family chose to entrust the pharmacy to an individual entrepreneur. Corazza is noted as the youngest pharmacy owner in Rimini. The new management is scheduled to inaugurate the business on Saturday, September 12, following two months of renovations.
