Farmer rescued after tractor plunges into river in Bavaria

A 58-year-old farmer was rescued after his tractor plunged into the Sulzach river during wood-working activities in Feuchtwangen, Bavaria. The vehicle almost completely submerged, leaving only two wheels above the water level.

The driver was trapped inside the cabin, which was nearly entirely underwater. He was only able to breathe by accessing a small pocket of air through a window. A family member noticed the emergency and alerted authorities.

Firefighters successfully extracted the man from the vehicle under difficult conditions. He was treated for minor injuries, while the tractor was subsequently recovered and is considered a total loss.
