Farmers' Association hosts events for women in Unterallgäu

The Bavarian Farmers' Association (BBV) recently organized two community events in the Unterallgäu region focused on women in agriculture and traditional food preservation.

Over 200 retired farmers attended a gathering in Palling, where District Administrator Andreas Danzer praised their vital role within families and the agricultural community. The event included musical performances and information regarding upcoming association elections.

Additionally, a fermentation workshop was held in Salgen, led by expert Johanna Schwägle. Participants learned to preserve seasonal vegetables like cabbage, carrots, and beets using salt and lactic acid bacteria. The workshop saw significant interest from younger participants interested in self-sufficiency and healthy food preparation.
