Farmers in Aguascalientes demand delivery of 1,350 hectares

Sixty-nine farmers from an ejido in Jesús María, Aguascalientes, are demanding the delivery of 1,350 hectares of land granted to them via a presidential decree issued on November 19, 1980.

Legal representatives state that while the decree was executed, the beneficiaries were not present, which they characterize as an improper delivery. A subsequent execution in February 1982 resulted in the allocation of only 1,140 hectares, with authorities citing material impossibility for the full original amount. The legal team argues this reduction was illegal and has prevented the farmers from utilizing and benefiting from the land for decades.
