Farnell partners with Hailo to expand global edge AI distribution

Farnell has entered a global partnership with Hailo, a developer of edge artificial intelligence chips, to make Hailo’s AI accelerators, modules and development kits available through Farnell’s worldwide distribution network, e‑commerce platforms and engineering community. The collaboration will provide engineers, developers and enterprises with data‑centre‑class performance and low power consumption for edge devices, supporting applications in smart cities, industrial automation, logistics, automotive and intelligent retail.

Jan‑Friso Blacquiere, VP Sales EMEA for Hailo, highlighted that Farnell’s strong global presence will enable more customers to realise new levels of edge AI performance. Hailo’s solutions will be offered in EMEA, North America and APAC, backed by design resources, technical expertise and supply‑chain services.
