Farnham Public Art Trust plans to transform closed bus shelter
The Farnham Public Art Trust is planning to use the Sue Farrow Award to transform a boarded-up bus shelter on South Street into a public art project. The shelter has been closed since 2024 due to reports of anti-social behaviour.
Following a successful inaugural year involving the University for the Creative Arts (UCA), the competition will expand to include local sixth forms from All Hallows, Weydon, and Frensham Heights. To ensure fair competition, organizers will run two separate streams for university-level and school-level entrants.
The award focuses on design concepts rather than direct artist commissions. Before any installation can proceed, the trust must secure necessary funding and obtain planning permission.
