Faro Airport Ranks Among Top European Hubs in AirAdvisor Summer Travel Study

AirAdvisor evaluated 23 major airports in Europe and the United States on punctuality, passenger experience and accessibility for its summer‑holiday ranking. London‑Heathrow topped the list with a 79.1% on‑time departure rate and 84.5 million passengers in 2025. Dublin Airport and Tenerife South completed the podium.

Portugal’s Faro Gago Coutinho Airport placed 13th overall and was judged the best in the proximity criterion, located only 6.5 km from the city centre. The study considered six factors: 2025 flight punctuality, Google passenger reviews, Skytrax rating, commercial offerings, transport cost to the city and distance to the urban area. AirAdvisor’s CEO Anton Radchenko said the analysis combined operational data with more than 1.1 million passenger evaluations. Paris‑Charles de Gaulle ranked last with a 61.1% on‑time rate.

AirAdvisor advises travellers to check punctuality indicators before booking, especially for connecting flights or tight schedules, and reminds passengers of their rights in case of delays or cancellations.
