Farol-Barra do Furado Industrial Complex project advances

The Farol-Barra do Furado Industrial Logistics Complex is advancing toward a new phase of development. Managed by BR Offshore, the project aims to establish an industrial hub dedicated to the berthing, decommissioning, and sustainable recycling of large maritime vessels and offshore platforms.

The executive project is complete, and the company is currently awaiting the implementation license from the State Environmental Institute (Inea). The plan includes new areas and a specialized ramp for hull cutting. Construction mobilization is expected to begin in early 2027, with works projected to last between 24 and 26 months.

Recognized as a priority by the state government and the municipality of Campos, the complex is expected to generate 700 direct and 1,400 indirect jobs during its construction phase. The facility, covering approximately 6 million square meters, seeks to meet growing demand in the oil and gas industry for the proper management of end-of-life units.
