Farsul urges ANP to address diesel supply delays in Rio Grande do Sul

The Federation of Agriculture of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Farsul) has filed an urgent request with the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) regarding restrictions and delays in diesel deliveries to rural producers. The entity warns that these supply issues coincide with the start of the summer crop planting season.

Farsul reports that a 21.1% increase in S10 diesel prices could add R$ 612.2 million to mechanized operation costs in the state, with potential losses reaching R$ 1.47 billion if prices hit R$ 9.00 per liter. The federation is calling for immediate inspection of distributors, particularly regarding service to independent gas stations and inland municipalities, to prevent delays in planting and rising food prices.
