Faruk Yalçın Mansion sparks bidding war between Hamdi Ulukaya and Arab investor

The historic Yağcı Hacı Şefik Bey Mansion, also known as the Faruk Yalçın Mansion, located in Kanlıca on the Istanbul Bosphorus, is the subject of a high-stakes bidding war. The heirs of the late businessman Faruk Yalçın have put the property up for sale after initially seeking $70 million and later reducing the asking price to $55 million.

Hamdi Ulukaya, the Chobani founder often referred to as the ‘Yogurt King,’ has increased his bid from $30 million to $40 million. However, an unidentified Arab businessman has entered the competition with a $41 million offer. Despite these multi-million dollar bids, the heirs of Faruk Yalçın—including his children Osman, Hatice, Ayşe, İsmail, and Süreyya Yalçın—reportedly view these amounts as insufficient and are not inclined to accept them.
