FAS expands special-purpose machine offerings for specialized industries
FAS reports that special-purpose machines are increasingly preferred over standard machines when production requires high precision, automation, or specific multi-operation capabilities within a single setup. These machines are designed for specific industrial processes rather than universal use, allowing for better alignment with the needs of sectors such as medical, aerospace, and railway industries.
Currently, special-purpose machines account for 40 percent of the FAS product offering, alongside grinders (25 percent), cutters (20 percent), and services (15 percent). Examples of specialized equipment include the WRG400 deep drilling machine for the medical industry and the SPG DUO blade grinder for the aerospace sector. The company also offers modernization services, such as adding CNC controls to conventional machines, as an alternative to building new equipment from scratch.
