Olimpia takes Torneo Clausura lead after victory over Libertad

Olimpia has taken the lead in the Torneo Clausura after a 1-0 victory against Libertad at the La Huerta stadium. The decisive goal was scored by Franco Alfonso in the 32nd minute, following an assist from Richard Ortiz.

The match was heavily influenced by a red card issued to Libertad's Álvaro Campuzano in the 25th minute for an elbow to the face of Olimpia captain Richard Ortiz. This numerical advantage allowed Olimpia to control the game and secure their first win at the Tuyucuá stadium in over five years.

With this result, Olimpia reaches 25 points, moving to the top of the standings, while Libertad remains in second place with 23 points. Libertad coach Nelson Haedo Valdez expressed frustration regarding the refereeing decision and the lack of parity in the match.
