Fashion and design profiles in Romania

In Bistrița, 24-year-old fashion student David Pop has been actively supporting local creative initiatives. After attending the International Fashion Island as a spectator, Pop volunteered to assist in the backstage area for collections presented by his former teacher, Loredana Chiș.

Pop has also contributed to creative workshops at the Bistrița Museum, assisting with garment construction and supporting children learning to create traditional Romanian-inspired jewelry.

Separately, fashion editor Maurice Munteanu has reflected on the origins of his passion for style. Munteanu credits his early interest to cinema, specifically the costume designs of Edith Head in Alfred Hitchcock films, as well as the influence of female family members in shaping his aesthetic sensibilities.
