Fashion trends return with raglan shirts and micro check patterns

Recent fashion observations highlight the resurgence of nostalgic and subtle patterns in contemporary wardrobes. Actress Daisy Edgar-Jones has drawn attention to the return of the raglan shirt, a style characterized by contrasting sleeves and graphic prints that was popular in the 1990s and early 2000s. During a promotional tour for a new adaptation of ‘Sense and Sensibility’, Edgar-Jones showcased pieces from Chloé’s Spring 1999 collection, demonstrating how these shirts can be styled both playfully with latex trousers and elegantly with silk shorts.

Additionally, the ‘micro check’ pattern is emerging as a sophisticated evolution of traditional plaid. Unlike large, bold squares, the micro check features small, regular motifs that create a discreet, graphic texture. This trend is noted for its versatility, allowing it to transition easily from casual shirts to more structured business attire such as blazers, trousers, and coats.
