Fashion Week Asia 2026 debuts in Manila
The inaugural Fashion Week Asia (FWA) took place in Manila from October 20 to 24, 2026. Organized by AGC Power Holdings Corp., the event gathered designers and industry leaders from across the region, including the Philippines, Vietnam, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
A key component of the event was the Fashion Forward Forum, which hosted panel discussions regarding the realities of the fashion industry. Sessions explored themes such as the material revolution, fashion as a form of self-expression, and the practicalities of maintaining a sustainable business. During the ‘Creative Code’ panel, designers discussed how personal identity and regional political or economic contexts influence their creative voices.
The showcase also featured various Filipino artists, including singer Jason Dhakal, drag artist Marina Summers, and actress Michelle Dee, who opened the runway for the South Korean brand BAJUYO.
