Fasig-Tipton New York-bred yearling sale sets record totals

The Fasig-Tipton New York-bred yearling sale concluded in Saratoga Springs with record-breaking results. Across two sessions, 203 yearlings were sold for a total of $24,628,000, surpassing the previous record of $23,890,000 set last year.

The sale saw significant increases in key metrics, with the average price reaching $121,320 and the median price rising 17.6% to $100,000. The buy-back rate also improved, dropping to 17.5% from 21.7% the previous year.

The highest sale of the event was a colt by the sire Life Is Good, which sold for $550,000 to trainer Miguel Clement. Other notable sales included two yearlings that reached $375,000 each, one sired by Good Magic and another by Vekoma.
