Faso Mêbo youth camp begins in Fada N’Gourma

The Faso Mêbo holiday camp has commenced in Fada N’Gourma, involving 525 young participants from the 6th Military Region. The region administratively encompasses Goulmou, Sirba, Tapoa, and Nakambé.

Initiated in 2025 by President Ibrahim Traoré, the program is designed to instill core values of patriotism, civic duty, solidarity, and social cohesion in citizens from a young age. The 2026 edition, which runs until August 24, includes activities such as tree planting and paving stone production.

Lieutenant-Colonel Aboubacar Dadijan, commander of the 6th Military Region and sponsor of the event, emphasized the importance of discipline for the participants during the launch ceremony.
