Fast food chains expand presence across Spain

The fast food sector in Spain is seeing continued expansion with several new chains entering or growing within the market. The halal fast food brand By Crousty is expanding its presence in the Barcelona metropolitan area, with a new location confirmed for Terrassa in the Can Palet neighborhood. The brand, which has gained viral popularity on social media for its fusion of French and Maghrebi cuisine, is currently undergoing renovations at the site formerly occupied by Las Palmeras.

Additionally, two other international chains are targeting the Spanish market. La Birra Bar, an Argentine company, is implementing a franchise model in Spain with plans to reach 15 locations by 2030. Meanwhile, Street Smash Burgers, founded in Lisbon, has opened its first location in Madrid as part of a broader European expansion that already includes Portugal, Italy, and Switzerland.
