Fast & Furious: Ice Break to broadcast on Fuji TV

The eighth installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, ‘The Fate of the Furious’ (Ice Break), is scheduled to broadcast on Fuji TV’s ‘Saturday Premium’ on August 29 at 21:00.

The film follows the ‘family’—including Dominic Toretto, Letty, and Roman—as they face a crisis when Dominic appears to betray them, leading to the imprisonment of Luke Hobbs. The plot involves a mysterious female cyberterrorist and features high-stakes action filmed in locations such as Iceland, New York, and Cuba.

As the first film produced following the 2013 death of series star Paul Walker, the movie serves as a tribute to his memory. While his character, Brian O’Conner, does not appear on screen, his influence remains a central theme, with characters referencing him as a spiritual pillar. The film concludes with a significant moment involving the naming of Dominic’s newborn son, which serves as a tribute to the bond between Walker and co-star Vin Diesel.

The series is expected to conclude with ‘Fast Forever,’ which is scheduled to begin filming in December with a planned US release on March 17, 2028.
