Fatah Central Committee meets in Ramallah to discuss elections and political developments

The Fatah Central Committee held a meeting in Ramallah, chaired by Hussein al-Sheikh, to discuss regional and international political developments and field conditions in Palestine. The committee reviewed preparations for upcoming general elections and assessed organizational readiness across various governorates.

During the session, the committee unanimously elected Jibril Rajoub as Secretary, and appointed Dr. Laila Ghannam to the Commission for Development and Empowerment. The meeting also addressed the ongoing Israeli military actions in the West Bank and Jerusalem, including raids, arrests, and settler violence. The committee emphasized the need for international mobilization to support Palestinian rights and the establishment of an independent state.
