Fatai Okoya seeks reconciliation with billionaire father

Fatai Okoya has issued a public appeal to his father, billionaire industrialist Razaq Akanni Okoya, seeking forgiveness after more than 40 years of estrangement. In an open letter circulated online, Fatai, who identifies as the first child of the Eleganza Group founder, expressed a desire to rebuild their relationship and make peace while time permits.

Fatai stated that the prolonged separation has caused him significant pain and noted that while he has made previous attempts to reach out, the rift remained. Although he did not disclose the specific reasons for the four-decade separation, he urged his father to look past previous events, writing, “Dad, we cannot turn back the hands of time, but we can choose to make the years ahead different.”
