Fatal accident in Colombia and recovery of missing person in Mexico

In Cajamarca, Tolima, 46-year-old Fabio Cárdenas Barrera died following a traffic accident on Tuesday, August 18. Security footage indicates that after parking his motorcycle, the vehicle began to slide toward the road. While attempting to regain control, Cárdenas lost his balance and fell into the path of a heavy cargo truck. Despite emergency efforts, he died at the scene. Authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.

In Salamanca, Guanajuato, the body of Fernando José Barrón Calzada has been located after a 10-month disappearance. Barrón Calzada had vanished on October 14, 2025, shortly after his brother, Juan Pablo, also disappeared. While the search for Fernando José has concluded, the Salamanca Unido Buscando Desaparecidos collective continues to search for 21-year-old Juan Pablo, who remains missing.
