Fatal accident near Gia Nghia Bus Station kills man

A man, identified by local authorities as a homeless individual, died following a traffic accident near the Gia Nghia Interprovincial Bus Station in Lam Dong province.

On the morning of October 2, a 24-year-old driver was operating a pickup truck toward the center of Gia Nghia. While attempting to make a U-turn near residential area 7, the vehicle struck a man sitting on the roadside. The driver initially believed he had struck a bag of trash and briefly left the vehicle to visit a nearby shop. After being alerted by bystanders, the driver returned to assist the victim, who was transported to Dak Nong General Hospital but subsequently passed away. Local police are currently investigating the circumstances of the accident.
