Fatal accidents and violence reported in Argentina and Guatemala

Multiple fatal incidents have been reported in Argentina and Guatemala. In Argentina, a head-on collision on National Route 12 between Villa Olivari and Ituzaingó in Corrientes resulted in three deaths. The accident involved a Chevrolet Meriva and a Chevrolet Cruze; the victims were identified as 79-year-old Rafael Domínguez, 45-year-old Diego Darío Almada, and 25-year-old Milagros Agustina Marioni.

In Guatemala, two separate armed attacks in the municipality of Villa Nueva caused two deaths in zones 1 and 12. These incidents occur amid high violence levels in the country; according to Inacif, 110 people were killed in the first 15 days of September, with the Guatemala department recording over 40 deaths.

Additionally, in Sololá, two men, Juan Solís Méndez (48) and Osvaldo Salvador Morales (31), died after becoming trapped by a forest fire in San Andrés Semetabaj. Local reports suggest that strong winds caused the flames to spread rapidly while the men were attempting to extinguish the fire, a situation exacerbated by drought conditions.
