Fatal accidents reported in Argentina and Venezuela

Two separate fatal accidents have been reported in Argentina and Venezuela.

In Saladas, Corrientes, 23-year-old Ezequiel Romero died after being electrocuted while attempting to collect bamboo for a school project. The incident occurred near the Carumbé Circuit when a plant he was cutting brushed against a medium-voltage power line. Despite attempts by neighbors to revive him, Romero died at the scene. Local authorities and energy officials attended the site to secure the area.

In Tucupita, Delta Amacuro, a 56-year-old maintenance operator for the National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec) died during pruning work in a public plaza. Although the worker was wearing safety equipment, the impact of a falling tree was severe enough to split his protective helmet, causing instantaneous death. Investigators are working to clarify the circumstances of the event.
