Multiple fatal incidents reported in Spain and Greece
Several fatal incidents have been reported in Greece and Spain. In Aýna, Spain, a 64-year-old woman from Catalonia died after being attacked by a bull during a local festival run. She was standing near the protective barriers when the animal struck her. A man approximately 60 years old was also injured during the same event. Following the tragedy, local authorities suspended all scheduled festivities.
In Greece, a 27-year-old man has died in Thessaloniki’s Papageorgiou Hospital after being hospitalized with severe traumatic brain injuries. The injuries were sustained during a physical altercation in Giannitsa, following a verbal dispute at a nightclub. A 26-year-old suspect, who was previously detained on charges of serious intentional bodily harm, remains in custody. The legal charges against him are expected to be reviewed following the victim's death.
Additionally, in the Isthmus of Corinth, a man died and another was injured after a collision between a small boat and a 50-meter Maltese-flagged tanker near the Gulf of Korinthos. Authorities are investigating whether the small vessel had the required navigation lights. The ship's captain has been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation.
