Fatal accidents reported in Kamareddy and Pune

Two separate fatal incidents have been reported in India. In Kamareddy, Telangana, a 15-year-old boy named Hemant died after his electric scooter became trapped between two colliding cars near Hotel International in the Ashok Nagar area. His 16-year-old friend, Lokesh, sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. Local police have registered a case and are investigating whether speeding or negligence contributed to the crash.

In Pune, Maharashtra, a 45-year-old woman, Salma Pathan, died following a Dahi Handi celebration in the Old Sangvi area. The accident occurred while organizers were dismantling a metal stage arch after the event concluded. A rod from the structure fell on her, and she was later declared dead at a nearby hospital. Despite the fatality, the victim's family has declined to file a formal police complaint against the organizers to avoid causing them legal difficulties, as their son is a member of the organizing group.
