Multiple fires reported across Latin America

Multiple fires have been reported across various regions, often attributed to suspected electrical short circuits.

In Venezuela, a tragic fire in Ocumare del Tuy resulted in the deaths of three children, aged one, four, and six, after flames spread rapidly through a home built with improvised materials. In a separate incident in Los Dos Caminos, a high-rise apartment fire destroyed one room, though a closed door reportedly prevented the fire from spreading to an adjacent room.

In the Dominican Republic, a fire destroyed a home in Las Mulas that housed a historic altar dedicated to the Virgen de la Altagracia, a significant loss for the local religious community.

In Mexico, a seafood restaurant named Villa Rica Express in Boca del Río was completely consumed by flames. Firefighters noted that the structure's palm roof and strong winds contributed to the rapid spread of the fire. Additionally, in Mérida, a residence in the Dzununcán district was destroyed by fire while the owner was attending a wake; no injuries were reported.
