Bengaluru police inspector dies in Madhya Pradesh bus accident
A fatal bus accident in the Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh has claimed the lives of four people, including a Bengaluru police inspector. The incident occurred on Friday morning near the Bhopal Bypass bridge in Biaora when a high-speed sleeper coach traveling from Kanpur to Indore lost control on a curve and struck a bridge wall.
Inspector KB Ravi of the Bengaluru Southeast Division CEN police station was among the deceased. He was traveling with a team to Madhya Pradesh to investigate a cybercrime case and trace suspects. Two other police personnel were injured in the crash.
Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and Home Minister Priyank Kharge expressed their condolences, describing Ravi as a dedicated and selfless officer. Local authorities, including Rajgarh Superintendent of Police Amit Tolani, stated that excessive speed appears to be the primary cause of the accident, though a full investigation is underway.
