Fatal car accidents reported in Lublin and Małopolska regions
Two separate fatal car accidents have been reported in Poland.
In the Lublin district, a 36-year-old Audi driver died after losing control of his vehicle on a road between Skrzynice and Dominow. The car left the roadway, struck a concrete culvert, and overturned. Police and prosecutors are investigating the exact circumstances of the crash.
In Małopolska, 56-year-old Wiesław Pałka, a long-time activist and former player for the MKS Limanovia football club, died following a crash in Stara Wieś. Pałka lost control of his Toyota Yaris while driving on a curve, causing the vehicle to cross into the opposite lane before striking a tree and a fence. Despite resuscitation efforts by emergency services, he could not be saved. Preliminary findings suggest the driver may not have adjusted his speed to the road conditions.
