Fatal collision and fuel tanker rollover reported in Mexico

Two separate traffic accidents have been reported in Mexico. In La Piedad, Michoacán, a head-on collision occurred on the Libramiento Oriente near the El Jagüey community between a Nissan Versa and a Scania R 460 cargo truck operated by Grupo Bimbo. The driver of the Nissan Versa died at the scene. Local police, transit authorities, and paramedics responded to the scene, and state prosecutors have launched an investigation to determine responsibility.

In Sinaloa, a diesel tanker truck overturned early Thursday morning on the México 15 International Highway near Guasave. The accident occurred when the semi-trailer detached from the International tractor-truck while traveling southbound. The driver, identified as 43-year-old Jorge “N”, escaped without injury. Firefighters and Civil Protection inspected the site to check for fuel leaks, and the National Guard oversaw the recovery of the vehicle.
