Fatal collision in Grantorto between car and milk truck

A 56-year-old man, identified as Silvio Cherobin, died following a violent collision between his car and a milk truck in Grantorto, in the province of Padua. The accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of via Prandina and via Duca degli Abruzzi along Provincial Road 94.

Preliminary investigations by local police suggest that Cherobin was entering the provincial road toward Gazzo when his vehicle struck the heavy truck, which was traveling toward Carmignano di Brenta. The impact was a front-lateral collision that severely destroyed the automobile.

Emergency services, including Suem 118 ambulances and an air rescue helicopter, responded to the scene, but medical personnel could only confirm the driver's death. The truck driver, a 52-year-old resident of Piazzola sul Brenta, sustained only minor injuries. Local police and Civil Protection volunteers managed traffic and the investigation, which remains ongoing to determine the exact cause of the crash.
