Fatal collision on Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway kills one

A fatal traffic accident occurred on the Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway on the morning of September 6. A 24-seat passenger bus collided with the rear of a semi-trailer truck, resulting in the immediate death of a bus assistant.

The collision happened when the truck, which was traveling at approximately 22 km/h due to a tire blowout, was attempting to move into the emergency lane. Preliminary investigations suggest the bus driver failed to maintain a safe following distance and did not observe the slowing vehicle ahead. Property damage is estimated at approximately 300 million VND. The Hanoi Police Investigation Agency is currently investigating the incident.
