Fatal crash in Salta and severe burn accident in Córdoba

In Córdoba, a 45‑year‑old woman suffered extensive burns when a cellphone battery exploded inside a Renault Sandero, igniting a fire that caused the driver to lose control and crash into a storm drain near kilometre 7 of route E‑53. She remains in intensive care at the Institute of Burns, while the driver was taken to a municipal hospital. Authorities are investigating both incidents.
