Fatal crash on South Korea's Pyeongtaek‑Jecheon Expressway kills driver
On the Pyeongtaek‑Jecheon Expressway near Songtan interchange, a 25‑ton cargo truck lost a metal‑foil load, which fell onto the roadway. The falling debris struck a following Kia Carnival van, causing it to collide with a Staria van and a trailer in a chain‑reaction crash. The driver of the Carnival, a man in his 50s, died at the scene. The cargo‑truck driver suffered a finger fracture, while other occupants and nearby motorists were evacuated, totaling 22 people.
