Fatal electric shocks kill workers in Ciudad Victoria and Coro, Mexico

An electrician identified as Jorge Luis V., 43, died after receiving a high‑voltage shock while performing electrical work at the intersection of streets 1 and 2 Allende in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas. Emergency crews arrived but found no signs of life.

In Coro, Falcón, a 46‑year‑old man and a 47‑year‑old woman were fatally electrocuted while walking through a flooded street. A cable from the power line had come loose, remained energized in standing water, and struck the couple at the intersection of El Sol and Jurado. Both incidents were investigated by local authorities.

Each accident involved live wires contacting people in public areas, resulting in three deaths across two Mexican states.
