Fatal garage fire in Lincolnshire and critical arson injury in Australia

In Lincolnshire, a 56-year-old man, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office as Thomas Koutsoukos, has died following a garage fire. Emergency responders arrived at a residence on the 200 block of Pembroke Lane on Wednesday afternoon after a 911 caller reported smoke. Firefighters located Koutsoukos in the attached garage with severe burn injuries. He was transported to a hospital and later transferred to a burn center, where he passed away.

In Melton, Australia, a 23-year-old man is in critical condition after an attempted arson attack on a tobacco shop. CCTV footage shows two men using a vehicle to ram the business before dousing it with petrol, causing an explosion that ignited both individuals. The 23-year-old was reportedly left behind by his accomplice while still on fire. He was rushed to Alfred Hospital, while police continue to search for the second suspect.
