Fatal head‑on collision kills Bolivian woman in La Plata, Argentina

A head‑on crash between a Renault Oroch van and a Mercedes Benz truck occurred at the intersection of streets 203 and 526 in the Abasto district of La Plata, Argentina. The collision killed 51‑year‑old Bolivian national Margarita Padilla Reinaldes on the spot. Two other occupants of the van – a 38‑year‑old man and a 14‑year‑old teenager – sustained serious injuries; the man was trapped under the vehicle and rescued by firefighters, while the teenager suffered leg injuries. The truck driver, 30‑year‑old Lucas Palazzo, escaped unharmed. Police, fire services and emergency medical personnel responded, securing the scene and transporting the injured to a local health centre. Both vehicles were seized for forensic examination.
