Fatal house fires reported in Posadas and San Miguel de Tucumán
Two separate fatal house fires have been reported in Argentina.
In Posadas, 40-year-old Adrián Alejandro Alvez died after a fire destroyed his home on Friday night. Investigators from the Scientific Police and Firefighters found evidence of a possible electrical failure in the bedroom where the fire originated. A copper electrical conductor showing signs of malfunction was seized for further analysis by the judiciary.
In San Miguel de Tucumán, 74-year-old Eduardo Arreyes died during a fire in the Abasto area early Monday morning. His wife, María López, managed to escape the building and seek help after hearing his cries for assistance. While firefighters and Civil Defense worked to control the blaze, the cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Public Prosecutor's Office.
