Fatal incidents reported in Bolivia and the Dominican Republic

In Bolivia, the body of two-year-old Lucas Edén Jora Muñoz was discovered near a river in the Villa Tunari municipality on Saturday, October 17. The child had been missing since Wednesday, October 14, after wandering off while his mother was harvesting coca in the area. Despite an intensive three-day search involving family members and local community groups, the child was found without signs of life. The family has not released specific details regarding the circumstances of the discovery.

In the Dominican Republic, the family of Ernis David De la Cruz Sánchez is demanding justice ten months after his fatal shooting in Junumucú, La Vega. According to security footage and family accounts, two individuals on a motorcycle shot the 26-year-old and fled with his motorcycle. However, the family disputes the robbery theory, noting that his wallet and clothing remained on his person. They have also raised concerns regarding alleged irregularities in the investigation handled by the Department of Criminal Investigations (Dicrim).
