Fatal motorbike‑tram crash and car‑parapet collision reported in Bucharest
A 26‑year‑old motorcyclist died after his bike collided with a Line 53 tram on Bulevardul Bucureștilor Noi in Bucharest on 10 June 2026, around 14:00. The tram driver, a 54‑year‑old man, was exiting the STB depot when the accident occurred. First‑aid crews attempted resuscitation but the rider was pronounced dead; an alcohol test on the motorcyclist was negative. In a separate incident early the same morning, a man lost his life after his car slammed into a parapet on the DNCB near Popești Leordeni.
