Fatal motorcycle crash on Attiki Odos after collision with police patrol near Anthousa

On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, a motorcyclist was killed on the Attiki Odos highway near the Anthousa exit, approximately 500 metres before the toll booths. The rider first struck a traffic‑police patrol vehicle that was conducting checks, lost control, and the motorcycle then collided with a moving truck. The motorcyclist died at the scene despite the rapid response of traffic police and an EKAB ambulance. The accident caused temporary traffic disruption on the highway, and authorities have opened an investigation into the exact circumstances of the initial collision with the police patrol.
