Fatal traffic accidents reported in Portugal and Brazil

A motorcyclist died after his vehicle left the road in Bela Salema, Faro, Portugal, on a Friday afternoon, prompting an emergency response that included an INEM helicopter which was ultimately not used. Separately, a man fell into the water at the Faro docks and was pronounced dead despite resuscitation attempts.

In Brazil, several serious collisions occurred: a three‑person motorcycle‑bicycle crash on the BA‑290 near Alcobaça, Bahia, killed a passenger and injured two others; a driver in Americana, São Paulo, admitted to drinking beer before his car left the lane; a 54‑year‑old motorcyclist was injured in Marília, São Paulo, after a collision with a Yamaha Fazer that ignored traffic signals; and a 29‑year‑old bride-to‑be was killed when a pickup truck struck her motorcycle in Marialva, Paraná, leaving her 14‑year‑old daughter seriously injured. Police and emergency services are investigating each incident.
