Fatal motorcycle crashes on Brazilian highways kill two riders

A woman died and her husband was injured after a car struck their motorcycle on the BR‑230 near João Pessoa, Brazil. The couple fell onto the road and a second vehicle ran over the woman, who could not be revived despite attempts by emergency responders.

In a separate incident on the MGC‑491 between Alfenas and Paraguaçu, a 44‑year‑old motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided head‑on with a Hyundai HB20 that was travelling in the opposite direction. Both vehicles caught fire, carbonising the rider, while the car’s driver escaped with minor injuries. Investigations are underway in both cases.
