Fatal road accidents reported in Fărcășești and Bârlad

Two separate fatal traffic accidents occurred in Romania, resulting in three deaths.

In Fărcășești, a 20-year-old man from Negomir died after losing control of his vehicle on DJ 674. The car collided with a roadside barrier on the opposite side of the road around 03:05. Despite resuscitation efforts by medical crews, the driver was pronounced dead at approximately 03:58. Police have opened a criminal investigation into manslaughter.

In Bârlad, a head-on collision between a passenger car and a truck occurred on the city's bypass road around 10:30. The impact left a man and a woman trapped inside the vehicle. Emergency responders, including SMURD and firefighter crews, performed extrication maneuvers, but both occupants were found to have sustained injuries incompatible with life and were declared deceased at the scene. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
